6mm Punic Wars

I guess like most gamers out there when considering a new rule system my first thoughts are always to search the net for any product related reviews. Lately I have changed my focus slightly and now tend to look more for short instruction or game play videos instead of written reviews. The 6mm armies featured below are a direct result of watching a series of short videos about Basic Impetus. For me, the beauty of pairing Basic Impetus with a 6mm figure range is two fold.

Firstly: The system is reasonably fast to play, while the figures are easy to transport and look good on a small table. This in turn makes it great for evening games where time and space can be an issue.

Secondly: I wasn’t keen to spend a fortune on models or a lot of time painting and basing them.

At present this page only contains pictures of four armies from the Rome and the Mediterranean sea list, which is free (as are the rules) on the BI web site. In the future I plan to add more photos and one or two battle reports. For anyone who is interested  I have placed a link to the BI web site and some common house rules on my Carthaginian page.
