The core of both the early and later Neo-Babylonian armies consists of chariots and massed bow levy. To these troops, the early list allows you to add two light infantry and a single element of bad-horse. The later list replaces the light foot with close-order spearmen. It also allows you to add a unit of javelin cavalry. As I had a ton of figures tied up in my old DBM army I ended up painting enough elements for both options.
The colour scheme I used for the army is loosely based on the image to the right. I used the following four base colours in various combinations for a sort of themed variety. Vallejo’s Buff, Foundry’s German early field grey (triad), Army painters white and black.

All of the figures pictured here (bar the bad horse) are from the Assyrian/Babylonian “Wargames Foundry” range. The figures I used for the bad horse are from “Eureka’s” Elamite range. Size wise I think they are a pretty good match. The most notable difference (for me) is with the horses. Although pretty similar in size the Elamite horses are slimmer and a bit on the flat side (for the lack of a better word). That said I will be getting more of them lol.
With the bulk of both lists consisting of bow levy (fifteen stands pictured below), I wouldn’t call my Neo-Babylonians a power army. This troop type is slow-moving and all but kack at fighting anything other than mounted. Even that can go badly for them as bow levy are quick-killed if beaten by mounted in a fight. Their one saving grace is that they are cheap so you get a lot of them.
