The British command elements pictured here were purchased from a couple of my favorite miniature companies (Front Rank and the Perry Brothers). Both manufactures produce a large range of 28mm metal figures for this period. In the Perry’s case some plastic box sets are also available. Size wise I would say the Front Rank figures are a little chunkier than the Perry models, but when mounted separately they mix well on the table top. Thus far I have completed five brigade command stands, four of which are pictured here a long with their commander and chief.
This selection of casualty figures were revived from an old and now abandon French Indian War project. They should come in very handy to mark half base casualties or disordered units in future games of Washington’s army.
