Just Painted November 2024

At long last, I’ve got my act together and posted some photos of what I have been painting lately. My hobby output has been a bit up and down this year. I bought a plastic Soviet army box set but couldn’t manage anything other than gluing my own fingers together. Also started painting some French lancers and a regiment of Scottish AIW infantry, but stopped when I didn’t have the correct figures to finish either unit.

That said I have finally managed to get the Soviet assembled and painted. I’ve also added enough extra vehicles to my French and German armies to start playing Battle-group in 28mm. Of course, all three armies still need a lot of odds & sods added to give me a decent amount of options when planning a list.

A Platoon of Panzer IIIF tanks for Blitzkrieg games. They also double for Panzer IIIH (long 50mm) in my Russian games.
I've also added a German truck and two Panzer IIs to my German army.
I'm still one BT-7 short of a full platoon.
Barbarossa T34s which will also double for later models when gaming from the Kursk book
Two Zis3 anti-tank guns, one (out of focus) SU-76 and some plastic Soviet infantry converted into a loader team.
Five Soviet infantry squads along with an eight-man tank riding unit.
Command group, sniper team, Forward Observer, Anti-tank rifle and MMG teams.
French anti-tank gun with a mix of light tanks.
I've added four more S35 to my French army. Two of which are Resin models from Blitzkrieg miniatures and two are 3D prints.
3D prints of French transports.

Earlier this year, before my motivation dyed I did manage to paint up two infantry battalions, some skirmishers and a command for a Nassau brigade. Lastly, I’ve included some pictures of my 28mm Han Chinese army. The figures for which, are a mix of Casting Room Miniatures and John Jenkins/Eureka miniatures.

Two battalions of the 28th Nassau along with their brigade commander and three skirmish stands.
The full brigade in all its glory. Well all most, as I still need to paint one more skirmish stand.
The start of my Han Chinese army which is based for triumph. Chariot general, two horde and three Pavisiers.
Six Han Chinese cavalry elements. Three horse bow and three javelin cavalry.
Two elements of light foot followed by two elements of bow levy.
one skirmish stand, one elements of raiders and one element of heavy foot.
Whoops, I forgot about these guys. Two regiments of the Iron Brigade (fourteen stands).
